42nd Street’s Online Platform, Breathe's New more User-Friendly Interface!
Breathe is a web-based platform, co-designed by Voluntary, Community, Social Faith, and Enterprise (VCSFE) organisations and young people, and is the platform we use to deliver 42nd Street’s bespoke Online Support Service for young people.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and ensure young people’s feedback is involved in its development so that it meets young people’s needs.
Over the past few months, we have been working on our Online Support platform and we are now ready to launch its new more user-friendly interface. You can expect to see changes to the platform’s layout and visual appearance, but the way that it works will stay the same! For example, you will still be able to access your sessions under the ‘My Sessions’ heading, and you will be able to see any messages under the ‘My Inbox’ heading. We expect the changes to the platform to launch on the evening of Wednesday 13th November.
The new user-interface has been designed in collaboration with young people, including 42nd Street’s Change Ambassadors, to help make sure that it works well for those who use it!
There has been a big focus on improving how the site looks and works from a smartphone, as we know this is how most of our young people access sessions. Changes you might notice include a new dashboard to help navigate the site, contained boxes to reduce visual clutter, and pastel colours to create a more calming and comfortable environment. It will also be easier to find your sessions and messages, as these will appear first on the screen.
Our Online Peer Consultant, Hannah, has created a guide to the new platform below, to help you get familiar with the site and find everything you need.
This document will talk you through the changes in more detail, from logging in to accessing your sessions.
You can also use the headings below to skip to the section you want to see.
We are always keen to hear from young people about how we can improve the site, and to make sure that the changes we make work well for you. Watch this space for opportunities to feedback about the new user-interface and to help continual improvement of our online support service!
