Q42 is by and for LGBTQ+ young people, to grow online and offline friendships, explore and develop creative ideas and to challenge any isolation and loneliness felt within their community. There are 3 ways to get involved with Q42…
We run a weekly group here at 42nd Street for anyone identifying as LGBTQ+ aged 13-18.
As well as being a social space, the group does a number of creative projects and activities, has trips and film screenings and works with other Manchester based organizations (including BBC, Gaydio and Royal Exchange Theatre).
These activities will help to build our own website designed to support LGBTQ+ young people across the whole of Greater Manchester (see below for more info!)
If you’d like to get involved you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0161 228 7321 and we’ll give you all the info you need!
“This has given me the opportunity to meet more people and socialise!”
“I’ve made loads of new friends”
“I felt I was hiding my sexuality but now I’m happy with who I am”
We have a full website at Q42.org.uk which has been created with and by young people in our project. There’s loads of information about a whole range of things that matter to LGBTQ+ young people.
If you can’t make it along to groups, it’s a great way to stay involved with the project – we’re always looking for people to help create more content for the site and you can find out how here: q42.org.uk/get-involved
You can also follow us on our social media channels below to keep updated…
If there’s anything more you’d like to know please get in touch at email@example.com
We also have lots of summer activities starting in our creative program in July 2019. You can stay updated on what’s happening at q42.org.uk/summer and you can get involved with this even if you’re over 18. This will be a chance to do workshops on various areas, meet others and simply share your creativity!
If you’d like more information about the summer activities with Q42 you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org too.
