Sharing our knowledge, skills and experience

42nd Street has national reputation for providing high quality training on issues related to young people and mental health to a variety of professional audiences. All our training is rooted in direct practice, knowledge and experience.

Recent training and consultation work has included:

  • The development of training modules on responding to the mental health needs of young learners commissioned the Learning & Skills Council;
  • The delivery of training on supporting the mental wellbeing of LGBT young people to all the Child and Adolescent Mental health Teams in the North West commissioned by  CSIP;
  • Consultation and training on meeting the emotional wellbeing needs of LGBT young people in Foyers commissioned by the National Foyer Federation;
  • Training input on supporting the mental health needs of young learners with tutors and pastoral staff at Trafford College commissioned by Trafford PCT.

42nd Street can offer training on a wide variety of topics relating to young people and mental health. Recent courses have included:

  • Working with young people who self-harm
  • Creative groupwork skills
  • Attachment
  • Understanding self-harm
  • Supporting the mental wellbeing of LGBT young people

42nd Street has been delivering well received training to other professionals for some years. This has included training delivered to college staff in Salford and Trafford, a regional programme around LGBTQ across North West CAMHS and various university course inputs and conference workshops.
